The Lyte 3 Section Trade and Professional Extension Ladder is the ladder of choice from major satellite and arial contractors in the UK.
The Lyte ELT range has been around for many years and lives up to its reputation of being the most popular trade extension ladder on the market.
With the new EN131-2 specification, the Lyte NELT ensures improved stability, durability and safety as well as reduced risk and the ability to withstand heavy forces. This is possible through a change to dimensions, improved safety testing and a new adjacent stabiliser bar.
EN131-2 is the new revised European standard covering all types of portable step, extending and combinations ladders. However, the changes conflict with the current BS2037 British Standards, which therefore must be withdrawn.
Lyte are re-engineering and re-testing their ladders to ensure they all meet and pass the new standard. There will be dimensional changes that effect ladders, which are designed to improve stability as well as changes to testing, for increased strength and for product stability.

Great ladder, really sturdy. I've rarely felt so secure up a ladder and still light enough for one person to carry!

At first I was apprehensive as read a few comments about not holding stock and delivery taking weeks, but with me this was not the case. Delivery was 3 days, and the product was exactly as described. My only thing I would say, is the ladders were a little banged about in delivery but it's not a big deal.

For obvious reasons (Covid-19) the delivery was delayed. Missing part within the original order but good communication and resolved quickly and without issue. No complaints and would happily recommend with confidence.
Product is fine. Delivery was not quick, but more importantly, very difficult to track. This is an area you need to work on.
Ordered this ladder purely for my own domestic use but I’m sure it could easily be used for professional purposes. For the price I am very pleased with the quality and sturdiness of the product which I expect will give me years of use.
Delivery only took a few days and I was informed by text when it would be arriving which was very useful.
If I do need another set of ladders I shall certainly return here to see what they’ve got as my first port of call
