The Lyte 2 Section Trade and Professional Extension Ladder is the ladder of choice from major satellite and arial contractors in the UK
With the new EN131-2 specification, the Lyte NELT ensures improved stability, durability and safety as well as reduced risk and the ability to withstand heavy forces. This is possible through a change to dimensions, improved safety testing and a new adjacent stabiliser bar.
EN131-2 is the new revised European standard covering all types of portable step, extending and combinations ladders. However, the changes conflict with the current BS2037 British Standards, which therefore must be withdrawn.

I bought two ladders of the same size at DIY outlets which were cheaper and admittedly lighter in weight. I'm sure they were good quality but they just didn't feel sturdy enough and I didn't feel safe so returned both and opted for this one.
They must be good and very popular because now (as a ladder spotter) it seems most I see on the roofs of vans have yellow feet which I guess is the marque of the Lyte brand. Very happy with my purchase so far.

I needed very long ladders to reach the side of the house up to the upper gutter and over the top. The height of the building is about 9-10 meters. After reviewing a number of companies and popping down to places like Wickes and B & Q, I came across ladders.co.uk.
I explained through the online web chat to the advisor what I needed them for and what I wanted to achieve. The advisor took note and advised me of the best type and height of ladder I needed. The advisor was clear in explaining and educating why I needed a taller ladder how it would be situated away from the wall at base.

The ladders are light and easy to carry and perfect for painting and cleaning the gutter and compatible if I wanted to add some accessories.
