The Lyte 3 Section Trade and Professional Extension Ladder is the ladder of choice from major satellite and arial contractors in the UK.
The Lyte ELT range has been around for many years and lives up to its reputation of being the most popular trade extension ladder on the market.
With the new EN131-2 specification, the Lyte NELT ensures improved stability, durability and safety as well as reduced risk and the ability to withstand heavy forces. This is possible through a change to dimensions, improved safety testing and a new adjacent stabiliser bar.
EN131-2 is the new revised European standard covering all types of portable step, extending and combinations ladders. However, the changes conflict with the current BS2037 British Standards, which therefore must be withdrawn.
Lyte are re-engineering and re-testing their ladders to ensure they all meet and pass the new standard. There will be dimensional changes that effect ladders, which are designed to improve stability as well as changes to testing, for increased strength and for product stability.

Bought me one of these for my contracting van, very nice indeed. The treads are welded nicely in place and the sections all extend out smooth and easy. Definitely good price for the quality, I'd say
These ladders are great for getting to hard to reach places, and even though that's what they're there for you'd be surprised how much better they do it than most others in their field. They don't budge when you're on them. At all. They hardly creak at all which is a good sign it can handle a lot of strain and weight. I love these ladders
Just had to replace my old one after an accident on the job site, digger mangled the bottom section of the ladder, daft driver! Instantly bought another one. These ladders can handle pretty much anything other than a digger on top of it and thats not a daily thing so I think youll be good. Would definitely recomend for industrial or domestic usage, good for getting onto roofs for repairs
If you were worried that the taller versions of this ladder are unstable then we're here to say that they're definitely not! We had to do some tiling work on a shopping mall in Swindon and these didn't falter once, such great stable ladders!
We run a building firm and that requires us to get up high sometimes. Our last couple of ladders were a bit worse for wear so we decided to buy some of these ones and we're so glad that we did. I'm pretty sure that we were breaking so many H&S Regulations with our old ladders but we can tell just by using these ones for the last few months that they'll last for ages! Can't thank you enough

This is a fantastic little ladder, it's brilliant, love the rubber bottoms as they seem to catch the ground more, leading to much better grip and my safety overall!
